DAY 1 Amsterdam Embarkation from 16:00 h
Your Dutch adventure begins in Amsterdam,
where you will embark. After a Welcome Cocktail and a celebratory Welcome Dinner, you will get to enjoy our first musical performance on board, setting the mood for the days to come.

DAY 2 Arnheim The bridge of Arnheim
Voted “greenest city in Europe“, Arnhem rebuilt itself after the famed 1944 battle immortalized in the film “A Bridge Too Far“, and is now a thriving artists‘ town with fine museums and beautiful parks. Choose to join the afternoon city tour to appreciate its beautiful sights and delve deeper into the history of World War II at the War Museum.
Relax on board in the evening, enjoying a delicious dinner as your vessel cruises onwards to Middelburg.

DAY 3 Middelburg Culinary tour to Veere
Before lunchtime, your cruise ship will dock in Middelburg. As one of the centers where the Dutch East India Company flourished in the 17th century, this lovely city features historic merchant houses and storefronts lining its canals. This afternoon, take part in a guided walking tour and learn more about its history and culture, or join us for a culinary tour in the historic village of Veere.

DAY 4 Ghent Historic old town of Ghent and Bruges
During the night, your vessel will dock in Ghent, the ultimate medieval city, which you can explore in the morning. Admire architecture preserved since the late Middle Ages and visit 13th century residence of the Counts of Flanders, the Gravensteen or “Castle of the Counts“.

In the afternoon, join the excursion to Bruges, the capital of the province of West Flanders. With its cobbled streets, crooked bridges, meandering canals and World Heritage-listed medieval buildings, the Belgian city of Bruges is bursting with fantastic 12% brews, boutique chocolate-makers and canalside bars. There’s also the Basilica of the Holy Blood, a double-decker chapel which has a Romanesque church down below and a neo-Gothic church up above.

DAY 5 Antwerp Diamonds of Antwerp
Antwerp, the largest city in Belgium, welcomes you today. In the afternoon, explore Antwerp in a comfortable coach. Famous for its diamond trade, the city also boasts many cultural highlights such as the Cathedral of Our Lady with paintings by the famous Baroque artist Peter Paul Rubens. In the evening, enjoy dinner, while your vessel returns to the Netherlands.

DAY 6 Rotterdam World-famous windmills
After breakfast, your ship will arrive in Rotterdam, Europe's biggest port and the second largest city in the Netherlands. After lunch, you can pay a visit to Kinderdijk, which houses the most unique windmill complex in the world. Built to drain water from the soil, these windmills are now protected by UNESCO and are one of the Netherlands’ most popular tourist destinations. After midnight, the ship departs for the final leg of the cruise back to Amsterdam.

DAY 7 Amsterdam City tour Amsterdam and cheese tasting
Amsterdam welcomes you back today with its enchanting blend of old-world charm and contemporary allure. In the morning, cruise through the lovely, verdant canals of Amsterdam while learning more about the city’s history and significance. After lunch, you can visit Waterland in North Holland, where you will stop in the charming fishing village of Volendam and the equally picturesque town of Edam. Renowned for its cheeses, this is the perfect spot for a cheese tasting (included in the excursion). This evening, the festive Captain’s Gala Dinner will provide a fitting finish to the day.

DAY 8 Amsterdam Disembarkation after breakfast
Enjoy one more leisurely breakfast on board before disembarking. The AMADEUS team wishes you a safe journey home and looks forward to seeing you again in future.

Optional Excursions

With our tailor-made excursion program you will get to know many different countries and cultures up close. We therefore recommend our carefully put together excursions and excursion packages to all explorers and globetrotters. In your travel documents you will find a precise description of the possible or already booked excursions.

On all our excursions you will receive the light and wireless AMADEUS audio system from Quietvox. Wearing the receiver comfortably around your neck or in a pocket, the comfortable headphones allow you to hear your experienced guide's commentary live in optimal acoustic quality. So you can enjoy your own individual freedom of movement and still not miss any of the interesting designs.

Please note our general information on excursions:

  • All excursions can be booked in advance or on board. Excursions packages may only be booked in advance no later than 8 weeks (56 days) prior to cruise departure..
  • Minimum number of participants for excursions by bus: 30 people.
  • Minimum number of participants for excursions on foot: 20 people
  • The timings of individual excursions can vary due to the volume of traffic in the cities and the opening hours of sites being.
  • We recommend sturdy shoes, comfortable clothes and an umbrella or waterproof jacket for excursions.
  • When exploring on your own, please remember to return to the vessel in time for its scheduled departure. If you arrive at the dock after the ship's departure, you will need to travel to the next port at your expense. The all aboard time is listed in the daily program each day.
  • No refunds for any unused excursions during your cruise.
  • Pre-purchased excursions are not exchangeable onboard.
  • If you prefer to purchase select individual excursions instead of a package, you may do so in advance at the individual excursion published rate.
  • Individual excursions may also be purchased onboard (subject to availability). Itineraries and excursion availability are subject to change.
  • Timetable, excursions and prices are subject to change.


Walking grade:
The following table should be of some help to you in order to be able to estimate the approximate length of the footpath. If you have any questions, you are of course welcome to contact your cruise line directly.

  • Level 1: Minimum walking; excursion by bus with short photo stops.
  • Level 2: The excursion by bus is followed by a moderate walking tour. You may need to climb some stairs.
  • Level 3: The excursion by bus is followed by a longer walk. You may need to climb several stairs.
  • Level 4: Moderate walking tour. You may need to climb some stairs.
  • Level 5: Considerable walk with longer distances. This may include uneven surfaces and some stairs.
